RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the detailed solution design and follow this design and approved methodologies to produce the desired system configuration.
  • Plan and execute testing to validate designs and implementations.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Solution.
  • Delivery Process, including system enhancements and projects via walkthroughs, correspondence, and investigation.
  • Document test cases and develop test matrices following corporate testing procedures.
  • Execute test cases, document results, report and track problems, re-test as required.
  • Document requirements in detailed business plans and functional specifications.
  • Design and write User Acceptance Test documents.

 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Use acquired professional knowledge to make decisions and work on problems of moderate scope.
  • Exercise judgment within defined standards, and consult with management.
  • Work under general supervision.
  • Follow established procedures.
  • Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy. Require judgment in the application and interpretation of material to changing situations.
  • Some latitude in decision making – must be able to assess planned effort versus actual effort and planned timing of completion, versus actual timing of completion.

  • Ability to develop low complexity solutions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to solve problems of moderate scope.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in engineering or computer science and an applicable education in aviation maintenance and operations, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of business modelling experience (information and data flow) considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a project team environment.
  • SQL programming experience considered an asset.
  • Oracle database experience considered an asset.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS (INCLUDING ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS)

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role and with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt, multi-task, prioritise and collaborate effectively with project teams.
  • Strong SQL programming skills, with Oracle experience in a web based database system.
  • Experience in data and process flow with Microsoft Visio
  • With over one (1) year experience in Aviation Maintenance.

 

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in an IT development and testing project - local or international.
  • Must be willing to travel and be assigned outside the country for long periods of time.
